What We Teach
Our program is Chung-Do-Kwan Tae-Kwon-Do with Kempo-Jitsu, Jukido and
Escrema techniques blended in forming the system called Taekyon-Jitsu Do.
We rely on forms, self-defense and sparing techniques to learn our art. Repetitive practice of the forms teaches us the basic techniques of the
art. Continual practice and observation of the forms will reveal
advanced techniques. Self-Defense is learned by practicing one and two
step sparing drills. These drills are developed by combining techniques
from the forms, knife and stick techniques from the Escrema system and
wrist locks and throws from Kempo-Jitsu and Jukido. The application of
these techniques to the students is through the life experiences of Fred
Walliser and his instructors. Because of these valuable life
experiences the martial arts that are learned at the House Of Kim are
extremely well balanced and practical for everyday living.
